The refs were solid overall, honestly. They kept the matches moving and it felt fair the whole time, which isn’t always... yeah, just a good experience

I signed my son up through American Grappling Federation, and overall the price felt fair for what we got. He had a full day with lots of matches, check-in went smoothly, and I didn’t get hit with any random extra fees, which I appreciated. My only complaint is the communication could’ve been a lot clearer leading up to the tournament. I found myself double-checking things and getting a little annoyed trying to figure out the details. Still, for a tournament, it ended up being a good deal.

I tried signing up for an event, the whole registration process was more irritating than I expected. A couple of pages were slow to load, and I had to backtrack more than once because some of my info didn’t seem to save properly.
I did get registered in the end, but reading between the lines, it felt like the site just isn’t keeping up with what they’re charging. For the fees involved, I expected the experience to be a lot smoother.

The place was clean, and there was good space around. Seats were easy to find too, which I appreciated. Complaints from me, I don’t have any.

I’ll admit I’m usually loyal to my usual brand, so I wasn’t sure what to expect here. But the staff was genuinely great, super professional, friendly, and handled everything really smoothly. Definitely made a good impression on me.

Overall, it was an okay tournament and I still had a decent time, but the organization could’ve been better. The brackets started late, and at times it was a little confusing figuring out what was happening next. Did anyone else run into the same issue?

I competed at an AGF event and overall had a really good experience. Check-in was quick and easy, the brackets were clear, and the matches seemed to move along smoother than a lot of other tournaments I’ve been to. The only minor downside was there were a couple moments where I felt like timing/communication could’ve been a little clearer, but nothing that really ruined the day. The refs seemed fair from what I saw, and the whole event was well run. I’d definitely sign up for another one.

I was relieved when the brackets turned out to be accurate. I remember opening everything up and feeling that little bit of worry, but it all lined up just right. No issues at all on my end.

I was expecting to be waiting around forever, because that’s usually how these things go, and I’d even packed an extra snack just in case. But the event schedule was actually really accurate. My matches started pretty much exactly when they said they would, and there wasn’t a bunch of awkward standing around trying to figure out what was happening. Really appreciated how smoothly it all ran.

The communication was okay overall, but I feel like it could’ve been clearer. There were a few moments where I wasn’t totally sure what was going on?? A little more detail would’ve helped.

The weigh-ins were okay overall, nothing awful or anything, but they definitely took longer than I thought they would. The staff were nice, so that helped, but it still felt kind of unorganized at times. People were just standing around waiting, and then it would move a little, then stop again. I mean, it worked out in the end, but when competitors are already stressed and trying to stay focused, a smoother setup would make a big difference...

I swear, the matches feel like they’re over before I even get a chance to breathe. There’s basically no time to settle in or get a rhythm going, and I’m 100% sure that’s what makes it feel so rushed...
